Faith & Flower Happy Hour

Faith & Flower Happy Hour

On of my favorite spots to dine and chat in all of LA has to be Faith & Flower. Soon after we were married, Jeff took me on a date to this art deco restaurant and ever since it has been one of our top choices for fine dining in the city.

On a sunny Sunday afternoon we drove downtown with our friends Sydney and Jon to experience Faith & Flower's famous Dollar Oyster Happy Hour. Yellow Conference: Workshop Recap

Yellow Conference: Workshop Recap

As a bonus option to Days 1 and 2 of the Yellow Conference, attendees can purchase a ticket to one of 4 targeted Workshops. Last year's conference workshops were geared towards either the Starter, Leader, Solopreneur or Non-Profit.

Yellow Conference Recap Part 1

Yellow Conference Recap Part 1

Last year I had the privilege of attending the Yellow Conference. The Conference was founded by Joanna Waterfall (of Yellow Co.) as a place to engage and inspire women (in particular) to change the world for the better. I had little expectations going into the weekend and was armed with only a few testimonies from friends of friends of how life-changing the conference had been for them the year before. With an open mind and an empty notebook I walked into the Downtown LA Warehouse prepared to be encouraged.

Downtown Diaries: The Last Bookstore

Downtown Diaries: The Last Bookstore

When Loee suggested we visit the store I expected a small boutique akin to Meg Ryan's "Shop Around The Corner" in You've Got Mail. The last thing I thought I would find was a towering two-story labyrinth of books. And they do in fact call their archive The Labyrinth.
