One my dearest friends Michelle is expecting her first baby - a boy due this summer! We have known Michelle and her husband Pat for years and I was honored to host her baby shower alongside some of our closest friends earlier this season. The second I found out Michelle was expecting I bought the napkins and bunting.Read More
About every 3 months, my church here in LA - SOMA CULVER CITY - hosts a Ladies Day. It is our way of getting to know the women in our church but also a great chance to invite and mingle with friends and neighbors. When it was my Missional Community's turn to host we opted for a classic Fondue party at my friend Jess' house.Read More
My word for 2017 is BOLD. I know most people posted weeks ago about their New Years Resolutions, shared their vision boards or words for the year. I like to think my word has had a bit of a soft launch. BOLD is a word I have used to describe myself for years. I have always been outgoing, theatrical, loud and silly. I also tend to dress a little flashy. It is just who I am and I am proud of that. I think I used to hide behind my boldness though almost as a cover...it was my safety...my default personality. No one has really ever asked me why I started blogging or making YouTube videos. Maybe everyone just assumes it's my hobby, like blogging and vlogging are just "my thing". But the truth is I am obsesse with the online world. For 5 years I have wondered through internet-land secretly pining for a role of my own. I have produced a few videos and written some random thoughts but never fully committed to this whole blog and YouTube thing.

I knew I had to live in a city because I needed to be fueled by it. Not to be dramatic, but I think I might just fade away anywhere else. I also love the busy-ness of a city. I love the stacked, packed, colorful, stimulating world that a city has to offer. Call me crazy but I love the feeling of being cramped and surrounded by people and things - hence, city life is the way for me.Read More
Happy New Year! Yes it is February first but I am still celebrating 2016 and all of the newness that comes along with hitting restart on our lives. For me, this year is more about hitting START. My resolutions are to post more videos, share more of my story and be brave in my every day life.
My husband Jeff and I spent January first at Griffith Observatory looking out over our glittering city at night. It was one of the most magical moments. There we were on the precipice of a new year with all the intentions and emotions of a year's past on our shoulders. We took deep breaths, prayed, and in one shining wind blown minute we felt 2015 roll off into the palm tree oblivion of Hollywood and realized we had in fact begun again.Read More
